As many as 2000 units in the Estate are engaged in the manufacture of a variety of engineering goods, notably auto components, light engineering goods, consumer durables etc.Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers' Association, commonly known as AIEMA, is the representative body of units in the estate.AIEMA has been organising ACMEE series of India's Premier International Machine Tools Show once in two years in Chennai since 1994.Over the years the event has grown considerably in terms of number of participants, visitors, exhibition area covered and business generated.AIEMA has successfully completed 60 years of illustrious service to the industry.
