REGO-FIX Group, a leading manufacturer of high-precision tool clamping systems, announced a planned transition in its executive management. As of January 1, 2026, Richard Weber, long-standing CEO of REGO-FIX AG, has handed over operational leadership to Pascal Forrer. Following a careful evaluation process, the Board of Directors unanimously appointed Forrer as the new CEO.

Ministry of Defence, lately signed contracts worth a total cost of INR 4,666 crore for the procurement of Close Quarter Battle (CQB) Carbine and Heavy Weight Torpedoes. The contracts were inked in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi. The contract was signed with Bharat Forge Ltd and PLR Systems Pvt Ltd respectively.

Capital-A, India’s specialist venture capital fund for manufacturing and deep tech, has led a US$ 750K pre-seed round in Quintrans, a deep tech engineering startup developing India-built direct-drive linear motion systems for industrial automation, robotics, and equipment manufacturing. The round also saw participation from Sumeet Kabra of RR Global, SanchiConnect, AIC-Pinnacle, and other strategic partners.

The year 2025 turned out to be rather stagnant for Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation systems, who saw their production grow moderately. This was slowed down by the export downturn, which was not counterbalanced by the weak recovery in the domestic market activity. The year 2026 will be better, but the forecasts are cautious.
